Momotaro Festival is Music festival Amusement event held in Japan.

Dancers with makeup to look like Ura, an ogre which appears in the local folk tale Momotaro (Peach Boy), bring a festive atmosphere to the city. On the night of the final day, visitors are also invited to join the dancing, which livens up the event. Along the Asahi River near JR Okayama station dynamic fireworks are launched, including the Niagara Fall.

The firework event has been cancelled this year (2019).

A display of fireworks functions as the opening event for the "Okayama Momotaro Matsuri" to be held in Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture. From the banks of Nishinakajima in the Asahi River-wich flows through the center of the city-approximately 5,000 fireworks, with trick fireworks and star mines, are set off to color the night sky. Parades, dances and other events honoring Momotaro spread out from the center of the city, among which one can find the must-see "Uraja dance," an iconic spectacle of summertime with dancers dressed as demons. Visitors should also be sure to catch special park openings and events at Okayama's Koraku-en and Okayama Castle, held concurrently with the annual festival.
